      <description>I am building an rx7640 server. I have to install 2 vpars on it. I have root access to the existing server (old installation), but I dont have password for the console, it may be set by the old administrator here. is there any way, I can reset the password for the console through root?</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hpux -is single user mode and you can set the password that way on a system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If its MP/CSP you have to null it out by erasing the bios&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Have you tried the default login passwords:&lt;BR /&gt;Admin/Admin or Oper/Oper&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If they are not the same and has been changed by the previous administrator then the only way is to reset the MP physically. However reseting will reset the IP as well hence you have to change the MP LAN IP Address as well to access it from remote.</description>

      <description>The only best way is to reset the MP which you will find at the rear of the server.Use a pen/finger :) to reset the MP.</description>
