H/W Uptime

Hi all,

My system H/W is rx8640, with 2 Cell boards in it. 1Npar & 2Vpars configured.

The OS uptime can be found by the uptime command.

But, is there any way to know how long the H/W(rx8640 in our case) was up and running without powering off.

Hi,

there is only an indirect way of finding out when the server was powered off last time.
Go to the MP main menue and examine the System Event Log with
sl
e

Then you may find something like:
7036 PM 0 *7 eb000b0700e0082c 0100000047c6b7fa HKP_UNDERVOLTAGE
7036 02/28/2008 13:32:42

This log always happens when the AC power cords are removed.

In contrast to this, you would see the following logs if only the front panel switch was pressed or the CM> pe command was used on the MP to power off the server:
