From running hp-ux you can use saconfig to configure the P400, see

man saconfig

or F8 (ESC 8) while booting.

Dear All,

Please help me in this below issue,

We are installing 11i v3 os on rx 2660. in this server we have 4*146gb SAS HDD available.
by factory default this server contains RAID1 on first two disks ( slot1&2). Now we needs to configure RAID1 on ramaining two hdd's. when i executes drvcfg -s from the efi shell it goes to RAID manager window but there is no option for managing raid. only create new IM volume option available but thats also not responding. what could be the problem?

the SAS Storage controller is HP Smart Array P400 Controller with firmware version of version 5.20.

Please can any one help me in this regard.

Not sure it will be germane to the discussion, but at least some of the Smart Array management software in firmware will assume the presence of a _25_ line terminal/window. Otherwise, some options might not appear in the 25th line...

I think you are accessing the default built-in controller, but not the P400.

The P400 cannot be configured with drvcfg, so as already mentioned you are opening the SAS raid controller config utility, not the P400 Smartarray controller.

From EFI shell, try a 'reconnect -r' command ,this should reload all optionROMs in the system, at one point you should see the P400 SmartArray banner appear and then you have to press F8 (or ESC 8 if you are in a terminal emulator session) to enter the ORCA utility to configure the P400.

Or with the online utilities in UX it should also be possible as already explained.

HTH

Kris
