using multilple raid on rx6600

i have 2 disk installed with raid 1 card

and 3 disks installed with raid 5 card p400.

Now the raid 1 disk is accessible and led blinks and os is installed on them but raid 5 disk are not shown neither in os by command ioscan -fn disk.

any one help?

Could you post the firmware version of you p400?

# sautil

Also post your HPUX version and the your RX6600 firmware revision.

Inspect the "ioscan -fn" output for "ciss devices, e.g. /dev/ciss5

and run

# sautil /dev/ciss5

# saconfig /dev/ciss5

and post the results.

i have attached the output.
i can see the additional harddisk added with raid 5 card but unable to find the raid 1 disks.

Now question is how can i see the Raid 1 installed disks??

when i run ioscan command it only shows one raid p400 card.
Now how can i see the raid one card information in the system

system OS is hp-ux v3

firmware are updated according to document

There are no logical drives - only 3 unassigned physical drives.

The default disk attached with raid 1 has OS installed in it.
they are 2 in numbers.Now how can i access that specific P400 card of Raid1???
if there are no logical drive then the drives on which os is installed is configured as mirroring or wht else?
kindly help?

raid 5 is p400 controller.

the 2 disks are configured with card escsi_ctlr.Manage by sasmgr

So escsi is raid controller or wht else card??

Your boot disks are on the built-in SAS controller, there is no RAID on the P400.

there is no mirroring in your vg00.

it seems you only have 1 disk in built-in sas controller

Add one more disk and you could mirror the disk with mirror-ux (license product).

execute `vgdisplay -v vg00` to display your vg00 (OS) configuration.

IR means integrated RAID, the boot disk is already (hardware) mirrored under control of the built-in SAS controller.
