      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;our customer needs to add a second CELL board to the rx7620 server working under HPUX 11i 11 23.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1-The working cell board has 4 cpu modules 1600 MHz .&lt;BR /&gt;SFW F/W is 3.096&lt;BR /&gt;PDHC F/W is 3.027&lt;BR /&gt;MICE rev. is 1.0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2-The new cell board has 4 cpu modules 1600 MHz.&lt;BR /&gt;SFW F/W is 3.096&lt;BR /&gt;PDHC F/W is 3.031&lt;BR /&gt;MICE rev. is 1.0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please advise if we can add and configure the second cell ; &lt;BR /&gt;Should we upgrade the FW and how.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks and Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Roger&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hy,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are going to use it, for the same npar the firmware has to be the same, if you are going to create a new npar, it's recommended to have the same firmware but not a must.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Updating FW is a service that HP should do.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You normally need to leave the cell you are going to update on BIB, and then update the firmware from the mp.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if your system is critical, and you don't have downtime you can downgrage the firmware version from your new cell(to the same on the old cell, add the new cell to the npar, and then you only have the downtime of a reboot for reconfig.</description>

      <description>Firmware is stored on &lt;A href="http://www.hp.com" target="_blank"&gt;www.hp.com&lt;/A&gt; -&amp;gt; software and drivers , but CAUTION - if you don't follow the instructions strictly you may seriously damage your system!</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; If you want to update fw, you must download the fw necessary and generate a CD. You boot from it update fw, the process is automatic.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt; Regards</description>
