if your console is already attached to the serial port than you need to login as Admin user and by default password is also Admin

login Admin
password Admin

hi,

if you are connect via LAN telnet s the default protocol for usage, but if you have license you could use also SSH, in some models its automatically.

Two ways to connect to MP.

1. Serial port
2. LAN

from console, you can also use ctrl+B to go to MP.

What kind of server to you have? PA, Integrity or Blade?

when you login into the console , you can use co to see the partitions name . than you need to select the partition name and than provide the login and password of the server. If you want to come back to console again than use CTRL B and if you want to toggle between the partitions use CTRL A

You can use telnet or ssh-2 to connect to LAN console and for serial you need to use hyperterminal through serial cable.
Here it looks like
root@server1:/root_home> telnet server2_gsp
