topic ab301a in Integrity Servers

Hi,

I have an AB301A expansion server hooked up to an RX8640 machine. I am having issues seeing all of the pci slots on the expansion server. I get this Here is what the error says: "IODISC_IOLINK_ERROR reporting entity: system firmware located in cabinet 0, slot 3, cpu0. There was an error initializing the IO link." I have juggled the cell boards around, trying each board in cell slot 3, and this error is logged by whichever cell board happens to occupy slot 3 at the time. SO I know it is not the cell board. I made a partition that includes all 4 cell boards. I have changed out the backplane of the server expansion unit and the cables that run to it. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Jon

Are the E-link cable connectors properly connected at both ends?

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/AB301-9008A/AB301-9008A.pdf

If the cable is connected properly, then maybe the rx8640 system backplane needs to be replaced.
