rx2600 display prob

Hi

I am setting up a new rx2600 server with 1g mem/2 cpu.

I am getting only a cursor on the vga display?
All LED indications are ok as per documentation

What could be the problem.

I havent tried the serial option yet as i understand vga is the default

Any guidence is appreciated

You should also connect USB keyboard and USB mouse to the USB ports labeled keyboard and mouse.

Hi,

read the doc:

"Default Console: hp integrity rx2600 Server"

If you are using HP-UX, you should connect to MP (or ECI) serial console port. Then you can configure IP address on LAN console port and use telnet for console access.

At the EFI prompt, configure the input and output devices. Or try boot vmunix -vga

The console was set to serial. i reverted back to vga and the problem solved.
