      <description>it's better to open support request and send them a log (&lt;A href="http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/mcm/homepageRequest.do)." target="_blank"&gt;http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/mcm/homepageRequest.do).&lt;/A&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;I suspect firmware incompatibility, but it's better to ask HP's support.</description>

      <description>I see from the boot menu that this system also has had a Windows 2003 installation on it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is a command you need to run if you change the system between HP-UX and Windows.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try this command from the EFI shell:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;'acpiconfig default'&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then type 'reset' and try to boot from the HP-UX install CD again.&lt;BR /&gt;See also here:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.docs.hp.com/en/A5201-96044/apas01.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.docs.hp.com/en/A5201-96044/apas01.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Remember if you want to switch back to your Windows OS, then you need to run 'acpiconfig windows' first.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kris&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Is that a permanent fix?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You did get an MCA error - may be your should check the latest files in /var/t ombstones, and may be contact HP if it occurs again...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hardware errors cant be ""fixed" by SW, IMHO...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;....also be so kind to assign points if ppl were helpful at all :-)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;SNS</description>
