Hi,

I'm getting this error on Integrity rx4640 box during POST:

1783 DRIVE ARRAY CONTROLLER FAILURE [Controller self-test failure (failure code = 00c0)]

Please help.

IMHO you have a smartarray 640x installed. This controller is likely dead and needs replacement.

Note:
each channel have an internal and external connector.

You can only use 1 at the time (either internal or external).

If you try to use both, you will get this message.

Yes it is 640x controller..

Does it work if you disconnect external cables?

I've getten same probelm on rx8620 (system firmware v4.2 & v5.1), A9890A had installed in slot 8 of channel 0, the firmware version is v2.84, the error message occured while I connect to internal disk ,but it's was fine if the controller didn't connect to internal disks,please kindly help me to identify the problem, many TKS.

If you installed the controller (sa6402) in I/O chassis 0 slot 8, did you connect the cables to mass storage backplane ports 1 and 2?

(ports are labeled 1 - 3 - 2 - 4)

No external devices must be connected to this controller.
