If you have two hot-plug disks, then with power off, remove one of the drives and install one of the OS you want to the drive in the unit. Shutdown the machine, and power off and pull out the one drive, and put the other drive back in its slot. Not fancy but it works. I don't think you can install HP-UX and LINUX on the same drive.

The only way to make dual boot on Integrity server is to install Linux on one drive and HP-UX on another. You don't need to swap disks to boot specific OS.
Regards,
Zygmunt
I've got a document that discribes how to set up a tri boot system with two disks. It's a powerpoint presentation named tri_boot.ppt. Maybe this can help you.Unfortunately I don't know where you can find it in the net. The guys from hp sent it to me. So I guess if you ask hp they will give you the source.
kind regards

Installing on separated disks is one option, but I only have 2 disks and I do want to mirror them.

Frau Pia SAURER, I will open a call with HP to see if they can send me the doc.

Thanks

Mirroring is the LVM process from OS level. You can't install dual OS on two mirrored disks.

Zygmunt
Just curious. When installing HP-UX, there seems to be 3 slices:

EFI
HPUX
HPSP

and HP-UX is installed on cXtYdZs2. Can we create one more slice and install Linux on it? I am not interested in Windows at all.

As long as you have the disk space whether it be on the same disk or on to a different disk - you can install multiple instances of an OS onto an Integrity partition.

Have a look at these documents. The key is properly configuring the boot environment under EFI:

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/5990-8170/5990-8170.html

http://docs.hp.com/cgi-bin/fsearch/framedisplay?top=/hpux/onlinedocs/A5201-90017/A5201-90017_top.html&con=/hpux/onlinedocs/A5201-90017/00/00/24-con.html&toc=/hpux/onlinedocs/A5201-90017/00/00/24-toc.html&searchterms=EFI&queryid=20041109-112243
