    <description>One of our customer is having HP Itanium server with windows platform &amp;amp; now he wanted to change O.S. From Windows to HP-UX 11i.&lt;BR /&gt;is it possible ? &amp;amp; if yes then do we have to buy any new kit for changing OS?&lt;BR /&gt;Please advice&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you have disks attached to a SCSI HBA the HP-UX installation should not be an issue. If you have, however, all disks connected through a SCSI RAID controller, you have to verify whether (and if yes, with which firmware prerequisites) you can boot HP-UX via that RAID controller.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Of course you would have to aquire an HP-UX license and possibly MirrorDisk/UX etc.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Bernhard</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;yes, it is possible with few restriction&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) verify HBA for internal disk drives,&lt;BR /&gt;if you have RAID card to support internal drives&lt;BR /&gt;2) Windows and HP-UX use different I/O cards (LAN, SCSI, FC), verify these cards&lt;BR /&gt;3)you should buy HP-UX license, and some optional software (MirrorDisk/UX, OnlineJFS, ...)</description>
