server model : bl860c,ver 11iv3

mounted the dvd from ilo virtual media.

i need to access the recovery shell.

but i cant find the dvd path to boot from dvd.

i haved done reconnect -r and then not able to find the dvd path.

how to boot from the dvd and enter in to recovery shell.

For the server, iLO Virtual Media is actually an USB device.

So I think this is the virtual DVD you're looking for:

blk0 : Acpi(HWP0002,PNP0A03,0)/Pci(2|0)/Usb(0, 2)

Matti,

If you have the Virtual DVD mounted it will show up as a device like a normal DVD. Do an IOSCAN and when you find it, normally something like /dev/dsk/c1t1d0 it will say Virtual Media. Mount this somewhere and you will be good to go.

i have rebooted the server and now i am in efi shell, how can i mount dvd here

If the ILO is mounted all you should have to do is select boot from ILO and it should know where it is.

But there is no readable boot area.

What kind of DVD is it (contents)?

now i got the cdrom path in fs2.

it has 4 files in it.

EFI
INSTALL.EFI
AUTO
STARTUP.NSH

now i need to get in recovery shell,,how can i do

Run INSTALL.efi and follow the instructions.
