Akif,

when the EFI partition gets created, the nvrboo.efi file gets copied into the \MSUtil folder.

the x in fsx: is mostly 0 but can be another number, depends on H/W configuration and if a cd is loaded etc etc.

Can you do a 'ls' command when you are on fs0: (or fs1:) . You should see a folder structure simmilar to this:

fs0:\> ls
Directory of: fs0:\

10/26/06 08:40p <DIR> 1,024 EFI
10/26/06 08:40p <DIR> 1,024 MSUtil
02/04/08 02:58p 127 fail_file.txt
03/05/10 09:08a 2,314

....
Move to the MSUtil folder (assuming you find it first on fs0: or fs1:, fs2: ...
If you do not see this nvram.efi file perform the command 'attrib *' when you are in the MSUtil folder and that should show what files are eventually hidden and not shown by a 'ls' command.

fs0:\MSUtil> ls
Directory of: fs0:\MSUtil

02/04/08 02:57p <DIR> 1,024 .
02/04/08 02:57p <DIR> 0 ..
03/26/05 12:00a r 158,720 nvrboot.efi
1 File(s) 158,720 bytes
2 Dir(s)

fs0:\MSUtil> attrib *
A R fs0:\MSUtil\nvrboot.efi

As you can see, in my case the 'ls' command does show the nvrboot.efi file, so it is not hidden.
If, in your case the file nvrboot.efi shows up as hidden, then remove the Hidden attribute using the command 'attrib -h' command, see more detail with the 'help attrib' command.

It is best to disconnect fibre cables (or disable SAN switch ports) while installing a new OS or booting the SmartSetup CD.

Hope this helps

Kris
</DIR></DIR></DIR></DIR>

First, you don't state what configuration your system is in. Do you even have hardware supported by Windows 2003?

See this thread:
<STRIKE> http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Integrity-Servers/Cannot-install-Windows-2003-Ent-Ed-IA64-on-RX3600-Integrity/m-p/3913083#M2158</STRIKE>
[Moderator edit: Removed the broken link. Please refer to https://support.hpe.com/]
Second, you don't state the Version of Windows 2003 you're trying to install; SBS, Enterprise or ? Does your media support Integrity?

Did you look in the Windows 2003 Integrity Installation Guide?

Are you trying to install this on a local disk, Smart Array or SAN?

Do you have just the target boot attached as recommended in the release notes?

http://www.manualshark.org/manualshark/files/28/pdf_26495.pdf

We could guess all day long, but unless you are specific you won't get accurate answers or results.

Since it can't find the boot disk maybe you have to manually edit the boot list?

Example SAN boot page 25:
http://www.dectrader.com/docs/set1/AA-RV22J-TE.pdf

Here's other Manuals that may help:

http://www.filibeto.org/unix/hp-ux/lib/hardware/systems/rx6600/installation-AB464-9001A.pdf
http://webpages.charter.net/sn0wc0ne/BFS_64bitWin.pdf

Rgds,
