RX2600 and rack-mounting

Hi,

In December I am getting 2 RX2600 and one RX1600 to be used as Charging Gateway.

HP want $10000 for a 19" Rack for these 3 machines and that is very expensive. Is it possible to use any other racks? Or do you know if there are any rack-mounting-kits that I can use to mount these machines in any other 19" racks?

How have you guys solved it? (not using HP-standard racks)

Hi,

For rx1600 - rack kit (AB276A) comes bundled with the base system.
For rx2600 - you can purchase rack kit A6939B

HP doesn't like this, but you can purchase remarketed equipment at a substantial discount over new. It can still be added to service contacts if the vendor meets certain specifications.

I'm sure they wouldn't want me to post a couple of good remarketers to ITRC so I wont' but a google search can help you find more affordable parts. You can also probably get the servers that way too.

I know, bad SEP. Some people can't afford new.
