A5158A Card

I have A5158A card installed on HP 11.11 Machine.I want to use the same card on HP11.23(ITANUIM 2 ) (MODEL rx5670) Machine .Anybody has idea if its possible to use the same card.

The partsurfer.hp.com site does not show the rx5670 in the list of machines when searching on that card. Here is what comes back when I searched on A5158A:

Judging from that, it may not work.

I have Single port 1Gpps (SC) a5158a . But the Following link

Please see , Its saying its supported on 111.23 But not sure if it is Itanium .11.23 comes on RISC also ???

HPUX 11.11 is the latest available on HP RISC

Hello Manu,

HPUX 11.23 is also available on PA-RISC processor servers ( PA-8800 PA-RISC CPU'S).

Does this mean , I cannot use A5158A Card on HP 11.23 (rx5670 )Itanuim 2 box.

Hi all,

Melvyn, the A5158A card can be used in rx5670/HP-UX 11.23, with the restriction no boot and no dump.

Just to confirm what Zygmunt said.
I have used two A5159A cards in an rx5670 running HP-UX 11.23 to connect to an EMC Sym.
No issues with the cards.

... of course I meant the A5158A 1Gbit/s single port FC card, *not* the A5159 SCSI card.
