It depends ... on bigger systems the MP has its own clock, on smaller ones it gets the time from the running system.

Thanks for the reply's, I can't find it in the manual, I need to reset it on a RX3600 and a RX1620 the ILO time is hours off from the OS on these servers....

iLO MP has it's own RTC. As mentioned in the iLO MP manual which says "The iLO 2 MP clock is updated from the BMC/SFW and cannot be modified. The realtime clock is used only when the iLO 2 MP is first powered on or rebooted, until it can obtain the correct date from the BMC."

Saying that you need to set the date/time using EFI shell commands "date" and "time".
