Hello,

The HP management processor contains a virtual
UART that is implemented partly in hardware and
partly in firmware.

Number of problems were reported for it.

Your problem is resolved by installed
better version of MP firmware version.
Resolved in MP firmware F.01.39 or later.

Cheers,

VK2COT
I have a rx3600 server that we have 11.23 installed and I have had an amber light come on. When I check the system event logs I see an event that says "BOOT_PLAT_CONSOLE_DEV_FAILED" After exiting out of the logs the light goes away. Does anyone know what this means?

The actual problem for this was related to a bad processor. HP replace the processor and we have had no other problems.
