First, try a more descriptive subject next
time.

> [...] one of Itanum server [...]

Not a very complete description of the
system.

> Shell>

I know nothing, but it looks like an "EFI
Boot Manager" prompt to me. Have you tried
any commands like "help" or "reset"?

If the system got to this condition without
any operator action, I'd wonder if the normal
boot disk is ok.

What happened before this? Why are you
trying to log in at the console?

Hi..,

Seems like you are there in EFI shell
type exit then you will get the boot menu
Select boot device and enter...
Server should boot normally if everything is right..

John

Ur at EFi shell:

1. exit to get the main menu, u can find a option "Primary boot device". Select it to boot

2. or do "map -r" at efi shell

it will list devices

Shell>cd fs0:
fs0:>dir
fs0:>cd EFI
fs0:/EFI>dir
fs0:/EFI>cd HPUX
fs0:/EFI/HPUX> boot vmunix
