the attached chassis codes indicate that an MCA (machine check abort) has happened directly after the kernel was booted (probably during I/O initialisation ? ).
By the way, why did you exchange the system card ? Did you change it yourself ? This part is normaly not a customer replacable unit ...
Anyway to get a hint on the nature of the problem, I would recomend to boot to the EFI shell and run "errdump mca" which will dump the MCA log to the console. Please attach this output.
Of cause, it would be a good idea to call HP support now.
You can also try making a minimal configuration (4 dimms, no PCI cards, 1 CPU).

best regards

Stefan

These are the analyses results of your MCA:

Problem: [ 4] Time-out occurred waiting for a PIO Completion message.
Possible cause 1: PCI device/s connected to LBA 7 failed.
Possible fix 1: Replace PCI device/s on slot ECI card
Possible cause 2: LBA connected to rope 7 failed.
Possible fix 2: Replace Management (ECI) card.

LBA 7 has only a connection to the management processor (MP). Does the MP work?
Is the cable between MP and system board connected properly or are there any pins damaged on the connector?

Hope this helps, Marco

Hi,

Marco's analysis is correct. Most suspect is the MP card (it is connected to LBA 6 via Rope 7, HW path 0/6...).
What was the reason for the system board replacement ? Maybe the GSP was defect before the replacement ?

best regards

Stefan
