I have a rx3600 integrity system
running hp-ux 11.23 that I am trying
to get ILO working. I did change the
core I/O board because I wanted the one
with VGA. I have read this doc over and over.

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5991-6005/5991-6005.pdf

when I go to https://mp<MAC address="" of="" i="">
I get page cannot be displayed.

when I telnet to it I do get a MP login but
am unable to type anything in.

If I use putty and telnet to it in raw mode
again I get the MP login and I can type the Admin
login but it never comes back with the password.

I can hook a serial cable to the console and my
laptop and hyperterm to it without any problem.
But I plan on taking this system offsite soon.

When I reboot and try to configure ILO I get:
Loading ILO Virtual Media
Load of ILO Virtual Media Failed: Not found

So I went ahead and upgraded the firmware with
rx3600_rx6600_4_03.depot But still no luck.

Currently the firmware revision is
F.02.11 Jul 13 2007

I can do both forward and reverse nslookups
on mpMacAddress and it resolves fine. I can
also ping it by name and IP.

Any input is welcome.
Thanks
Paul

</MAC>

These products arrive from HP in working order. If its not currently working then its your rplacement board. Verify this board. Was it new or used? Is it the right product for this box? Did you buy it from HP or a 3rd party. If from a 3rd party then call HP for an estimate and ask for a product number. Cross reference this product number with the board you bought. Note your return policy on the board you purchased.

The card was new. I couldn't buy it from HP so I used a 3rd party. It was the only I could get the card. I am pretty sure it's the right card, All of the other connections work (serial usb vga)

I still have some doubts if the server is the culprit or not.

There is still a possibility that a firewall or the network config prevent you from accessing the server.

I would try to use a crossed LAN cable and connect a PC and the server directly. Make sure to disable any personal firewall on the PC and use IP addresses from the same subnet.
