Hi,

I got a report from SIM that one of the CPU's of my Itanium server has failed. How do I know which CPU it is.

Yes, that's correct.

Unlike other cell boards this one can have up to 5 fans, the fan mounted on CPU0 on cell 0 has failed and needs to be replaced (cpu module).

You may face some performance issue as this Fan is fixed on CPU

obviously this will take effect on performance level.

BTW, if you have service agreement with HP log a case and find their solution.

As sreekanthtm said, i agree with him. What HP diagnosed? also check the parstatus and share your further findings with us.

The Fan has been replaced. We noticed that the spring that holds the fan on the CPU was loose.

They were both replaced.
