RX6600 RAID1+0 Configuration Query

Does anyone have any experience of configuring RAID 1+0 volumes on an RX6600 with the onboard P400 controller and an adittional P400 for the 2nd SAS bay? In particular I'd like confirmation that I can configure the eight disks in the 2nd bay as two RAID1+0 volumes (each comprised of 4 HDD's). There appears to be an awful lot of conflicting information regarding this hardware/controller combination with HPUX and would appreciate your comments.

Hi,

The confusion usually arises because in the low end Integrity systems you can choose between a SmartArray RAID controller (like the P400) and a straight SAS HBA which is capable of some very simple RAID configurations (RAID1 only).

If you really have the P400 controllers in your system rather than the SAS HBA, then what you are attempting is absolutely possible - refer to the manual for the P400 here:
