Hello,

I have a rx8640 with one Partition (Partition 0) that have 3 cell's. In this partition i have 3 vPars. There was a energy problem and the only two partitions boot the vPar3 doesn't go up because says that have no memory. I tried to assign with vaprmodify memory but the return is no memory available.
I have a problem in cell 2 (3 VRM's in fault), do you think that can cause the server not to see the memory?

Best Regards,

Marcio

It depends on the vpar3 setup and the status of cell 2 assuming vpar3 was setup using it.

What do you see in
# vparstatus
# vpartstatus -p vpar3 -v

"I have a problem in cell 2 (3 VRM's in fault), do you think that can cause the server not to see the memory?"

Due to the problems with cell2 you may have disabled memory = less memory than needed.

Contact HP support to get the H/W problem solved.
