Hi Stephen,

Check to make sure the EFI console variables are set up properly for input devices. Check section 3 pgs 19-21 in the attached document link. Use the EFI menus to change the settings there. I recommend using just one Active console device.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/CoreRedirect.jsp?redirectReason=DocIndexPDF&prodSeriesId=82067&targetPage=http%3A%2F%2Fbizsupport.austin.hp.com%2Fbc%2Fdocs%2Fsupport%2FSupportManual%2Flpn04096%2Flpn04096.pdf

HTH
I have an RX2600 with 512 MB, that I want to run OpenVMS on. I was able to install the latest firmware (for V8.2-1) and booted the OpenVMS DVD (V8.3-1H1) on both the VGA console and the serial console. When it comes up the time question I lose the keyboard - the system seems to hang.

The RX2600 has 2 unlabeled USB ports and I have tried all combinations. The keyboard works at the console prompts (can't test the mouse).

Any ideas?

Sorry - My original headline said RX1600 and that is what I was talking about (I also am having problems with a RX2600). Was your comment directed at the RX2600?
