Closing thread. Very poor that there is no option to something that should be a default option / offering for an enterprise system.

Is there anyway to reset the MP from the operating system like you can on the Sun's? The MP on our rx7640 keeps hanging and it's a REAL pain to walk over/down to the data center.

Cheers

Is it just me, or is this a really important thing to be missing. We have boxes all over the country and need to every now and then reset the MP's that go belly up.

Maybe I'm sniffing too much pesticeds again....

James, I like your way of thinking. My Itanium box is running 11.31. It doesn't have a /dev/GSPxxxx

Is there a 11.31 device that corresponds to the MP / GSP ?

Upon further reading, I don't think it's possible to reset the MP from the running O/S. I would love to be proven wrong.

I could go on a rant about how poor this is, but I will hold back.
