I have an rx4640 with RH30, installed in a remote site. Is possible get the serial number of the server with a command line? If not, how can I get the rx4648 serial number without moving physically to the remote site?

Hello Paolo,

if you have the management card setup (which is a must) then login to the MP card
and run these commands:

- at the MP prompt go in to the CM
(Command menu)
- type DF and choose the S option for a
Specific FRU you want to disply the
details off.
- then choose 0000 for the Motherboard

This will list you i.e. this detail at the end:

PRODUCT INFO:
Manufacturer : hp
Product Name : server rx4640
Part/Model : AB370A
S/N : DEH44361JN
FRU File ID : 11
Custom Info : 301
