Hi,

AFAK, you have to get your local printer drivers installed on terminal server if they are not supported by win2003 by default. You can see printer related error messages in event viewer of server after you logon to terminal server.

We are struggling with understanding what printers, printer types, etc. we can use with Terminal Server in Windows 2003. Does anyone have a good source for that information or a product that can link all of our local printers through a Terminal session without glitches.
Thanks,
Linda

What are you trying to do exactly?

I don't know any restrictions on using printers with terminal services, printers can be installed on the server or on the clients.

When the client with a printer connects to the terminal server, you can tell to terminal server that the client printer should be mapped and used as default printer.

Linda,

here is the 2003 HCL for printers:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/catalog/server/default.aspx?subID=22&xslt=categoryProduct&pgn=af54145e-eb61-4244-843e-510d6ec30966

it should tell you which printers are supported. If you are using HP printers I would advise that you install the minimal driver set, the normal drivers (with hp utilities) can create all sorts of havok on a server and are an unnessary IMHO.

HTH
Guy
