Hi,

While reading kb article you've given; there is a sentence like

"In this scenario, the sending host can receive several Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) destination unreachable messages that have MTU updates for a destination."

So i checked Local Security Policy-> IP Security Policies On Local Computer-> Client Rules, and saw that there is no ICMP permit rule defined. Other server has it, and that's the only difference. After i've added a ICMP rule to permit all traffic and restarted server, problem got solved without installing the patch.

Thanks
Hi,

I have two windows 2003 servers that have exactly same hardware configuration. I got remote

desktop enabled, and terminal services has not been installed on them. Windows firewall

service is not enabled on both, no other security software installed. That was working fine

until sp1.

After i installed sp1 to both, one is working fine right now and i can connect using any

remote desktop client, but the other one allows me to login only once. After first logon to

RD, if i logout and try to login again, it says "the remote computer has ended the

connection". After i restart the server, i can login again for once. There is nothing in

event viewer about error.

I've searched web and tried some workarounds

(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;323497), nothing solved the

problem.

It seems there are other people experiencing that problem

(http://bink.nu/forums/8474/ShowPost.aspx) ,other suggestions did not work for me also.

I tried everything, and now i think only people experienced that problem and somehow solved can help me, and i wanna ask if there is one.

Hi,

I've heard of some problems with RDP connectivity. Have you applied the Patch/Hotfix listed here?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898060/

Regards,
Stephen
