We have the problem.
In first, we have loaded the driver (F6) from the USB Key. Driver have been Loaded. Partition created, but with 'E:' letter (C: are used by usb key).
By reboot whithout USB key initialy and restart install, C: are assigned to Partition (whith F6, Insert USB Key, .....)
But during the windows install, windows need the driver from the "A: Disquette" !!
I am trying by using Bootable CD whith emulation of A: Drive, and lauch Win Install from a second CD Drive.
The best solutions are a Win2003 SBS CD whith raid Driver ! (HP, we need your help !)
You need to use something like ISO buster to create boot disk Image and then use Nero or something similar to create boot CD:
http://www.isobuster.com/
http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstream_13.htm
http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstream_nero_procedure.htm

Or you can use freeware Nlite tool
http://www.nliteos.com/nlite.html
(I didn't try it, but peoples says it's worked great)

I have the same problem with the SATA RAID ctl on a DL320 G4. I don't have a floppy drive. Why wouldn't the SmartStart CD contain the driver? Isn't that what it's for?

The only way I able to get an OS installed was to use nLite and create a new Windows 2003 Srv install.

Pete

Have you in fact connected a USB floppy drive up to the server? I had the same issue and I used a usb floppy drive with the Adaptec drivers loaded onto a floppy disk and it worked just fine. The usb floppy drive was one that I had received with an hp presario notebook computer. Hope this helps.
