hello

i have two dl 360(with 2ip) and i want create a virtual ip address between the both with hp application for windows server 2003, in fact i want that the networking see my two computers as one with one ip. i have heard that there is an hp software application who do this

Actually it depends on your applications needs.
You probably can use Microsoft network load balancing (built-in in windows 2003)

Regarding HP: probably you heard about HP Serviceguard suite, but AFAIK it works only on HPUX and Linux.

AFAIK, for NLB implementation you need another server to act as "director".

Windows 2003 Enterprise also provides "clustering" capabilities that allows you to configure a "Virtual" ip address.

But what is your objetive? If you want some kind of failover, you could do it manually adding an ip alias to the interface. If one server fails, add the alias to the other server.

If you want to balance the network load, you may try DNS Round Robin.
