      <description>I already read it but it doesn't help me so much... I have Windows 2000 with Service pack 4 and the latest updates. And I still don't know what SMBServer 5.0 is.</description>

      <description>If you are using Small Bus Server, you have too many people using file file/print shares on the serevr for the number of licenses you have entered on the server. If its not SBS, stop and disable the licensing service.&lt;BR /&gt;SMB = server message block and is the method clients connect to the server for file and print services.</description>

      <description>Hi:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here's an article to help give you an inkling of what SMBServer does.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;204279&amp;amp;Product=win2000" target="_blank"&gt;http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;204279&amp;amp;Product=win2000&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How many CALS are installed on your WIN2K Server? How many client computers are logging in to the server? Some backup software use a CAL as does Gateway for Netware.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Roger</description>
