LJ2100TN cannot select different forms

hello, just installed an LJ2100TN printer on the new server and used the latest drivers from hp page.
The printer configuration shows the correct printer, but I cannot select the different paper chutes. The clients also have no option to use different forms.
Please help.

Are you using PCL or PostScript?

You would see this problem when you do the installation on the server, at that point it got to be able to see everything.

Many people have put the printer on the network, then did the print q,after install duplexing,more paper chut,ect..it got to be seen with everything install before you do the print Q on the server.

We also had the trouble going tru a firewall never got a responce from the printer.

you need a responce from a printer so that it know how many trays,Duplexing,ect or else it will give you simple install.

HP2100TN has PostScript drivers that HP2100 doesn't have and doesn't "comprehend". If you're using PostScript drivers with a HP2100, you'll have problems.

Check the model of your printer and the version of the driver you're using. Be sure to use the latest version (download the drivers at http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/hplaserjet8887_swen.html

we are using PCL6.
Maybe the problem is in the queue as you say.
I have installed the printer on LPT1 and then defined the printer queue - all with standard server2003 drivers. Since the output was wrong and also the tray select didn't work correctly, I installed the new drivers from HP download. Now the print output is correct, but the tray select still doesn't work.
When configuring the printer, it shows the correct picture (3 trays) and I can define the paper for each tray in the NT Paper selection.

Any client using this network printer can see the 3 trays, but he is not able to select a specific tray for his output. So most prints are using now the wrong tray ( different paper ).
Maybe we are doing something wrong, or the lj2100tn doesn't work correctly on Win Server2003 R2.
Any more Ideas ?

Print queue is a shared printer directly connected to the server with a connection LPT1?

hi, the problem is solved. After removal of the printer and all printer drivers I installed the printer again with newest drivers from download. Now every tray can be selected.
