Resizing Windows Disks

Is it possible to resize existing partitions in Windows without destroying data.

I have 2 servers (inherited) where the C: drive is nearly full (about 100MB left) and a D: drive that has 94GB free. Is there software that will allow me to take 10GB from the D: drive and add it to the C: drive. WITHOUT destroying data? It seems there were 3rd party apps to this, but I've never used one.

No one will warranty the expansion of the C drive. What you could do is to move the pagefile.sys and remove the system restore data from the C drive.

Why you C drive is increasing? There should be things that could be moved to the other partition.

Like Ivan said, you need to move the page file and backup all your data, but you can use the free diskpart utility from microsoft.

Hi,
Generally speaking diskpart doesn't support C:\ drive extension.
But you can use Kris Rombauts suggestion here:

Such way you will extend C:\ drive without any 3rd party tools
Make sure you have good backup before C: extension !
