Greetings,

I just got done setting up an Exchange E-mail server and loaded with all the patches. Currently, there are 3 volumes that I have setup and they are all been formated as "Basic" disks. Now, I have heard some where that these disks were supposedly be "Dynamic" instead. Is this true??

Please, any experts on Exchange out there that can help me??

Thank you in advance.

Jorge
Basic or Dynamic disk issue is not really related to Exchange.
If you use hardware RAID (for example HP SmartArray controller) NEVER convert you disks to dynamic - I think dynamic disks on hardware RAID is BAD idea.

Dynamic disks only needed if you want to do software RAID on windows. But software RAID is very bad idea, especially on Exchange server
