Prolaint ML350 g5

I loaded windows 2003 32bit on my server it loaded ok. but the windows 2003 splash stays on for five minutes before it brings me to the login screen. I am not sure where to start looking for the problem? please help

Hi Duane,
Could be driver problems, or hardware problems.

did you use the SmartStart CD when installing the machine? If you did not do that, do it. If you do not have it anymore, you can downoad it here:

On some models you can change the read/write cache of the HD controller, if you did not change it it should be on 50 write and 50 read, that should be good enough for a normal boot. So if you change it change it back.

also look in devicemanager for any errors.
also look in the eventlog for any errors.

How do you have the hardware configured? How much memory, disk subsystem, type of disks, etc...
