This option specifies number of sectors per track - 63 or 32 sectors.
With MaxBoot disable you can have max logical drive size 502 Gb, with MaxBoot enable you can reach 2 Tb or even more - depends on OS
Historically this settings related to Windows NT 4 limitation
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/kbase/WindowsTips/WindowsNT/AdminTips/Installation/Int13x86bootlimitationandCpartition.html

My new server has a Smart Array P410i controller which, while configuring the array, asks whether I want a 4GB maximum partition or an 8GB maximum partition. I realise this is legacy, but what is the difference when you use one or the other? I don't want to get bitten by some interfering bug when I go to change the array later (for instance, by adding more drives to expand the array) because I chose one or the other, I'd rather just set it the best way right off and have a smoother upgrade later.
