Hi Leon,

I think the message is lost from the IML if someone clears it. But if you look via the Insight Agents / System Management Homepage it will still show the error. The IML is just a log. It does not report the actual status of the server. If you replaced the hard drive and did not go near the IML it would still have the message there, even though the server is now OK. Use the Agents instead.

Regards,
Stephen

HI, My client is running Windows 2003 with IML on a Proliant ML370G3 and ML330G3. Say one of the harddrives fail, I know it will show up in the IML. But say somebody clears the IML and I didn't see the message of the harddrive failing, would the message be reported again in IML, or is it a once off thing?

Hi,

if the Proliant support pack is installed, it should be available as an icon on the desktop, or in the Start Menu.
If you need the PSP, get it from the latest SmartStart CD, or download it here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/22871.html

You will need the SNMP service installed and configured in Windows.
Then just extract the files from the downloaded exe, and run setup to install the various components.

Regards,
Stephen
