    <description>Dear Steven&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for reply.  &lt;BR /&gt;But I notice that when i give Modify permission to user it found that you can able to delete the file also.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;or if i remove the modify permission, user can not able to save the changes in the file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please suggest. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Vijay &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Dear All,&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
I want to give the permissions to folder&lt;BR /&gt;
so that users can append data, create new files, folders, rename them but not able to delete the folder or files.  I am using NTFS drive and operating system windows server 2003 &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Is it possible.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Please reply.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>ViJay:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I do not see why it is not possible to do what you want.  If you right click on the folder you want to give permissions to and select properties...Select the security tab and click Advanced.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In the Advanced permissions dialog, click add, type your user names and/or groups and click ok or "check names" to make sure you have the right people/groups (then click ok).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;A new dialog pops up with advanced file/folder permissions including all the ones you want to allow/deny.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steven</description>
