Irregular Display in CDE/GUI

Hi,
When system is rebooted after installation of Patch Kit 5 on Tru64 V5.1B, its CDE garphics went distorted/irregular. i.e. desktop is not clearly visible.
Please help to make it clear.

I had a similiar issue once. By booting the genvmunix kernel and compiling the kernel again, the problem was solved.

boot -fi genvmunix -s
bcheckrc
lmf reset
doconfig
cp /new/kernel/vmunix /
shutdown -r now

In another ocation, the /lib link was deleted.

If you have the habit of customising the Xserver display in /usr/dt/config/Xservers, it migth also be that the patchkit has overwritten some of these customisations.

The recommendation is to put customisation like refresh-rate and screen-resolution into /etc/dt/config.
