Hi

I would like to upgrade my Tru64 UNIX from 4.0D to 5.1B. How many stages I need to go through? eg. 4.0D -> 5.0 -> 5.1A

Where can I find the related documentation?

Hi,

is there a reason, you do not do a clean 5.1B installation? It is not only faster but also makes sure, you get all the goodies, you might miss when doing all those upgrades like the new AdvFS format which changed fro version 3 to 4.

I agree with Michael, you should consider doing a clean install instead of an upgrade. I've tried an upgrade from V4.0F several times and always ran into problems like a dead console due to a corrupted /etc/sysconfigtab.
