    <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1- I would like to know the role of the smsd process under Tru64 Unix 5.1 (ES40 server );&lt;BR /&gt;It is consuming more than 30% of the  CPU;&lt;BR /&gt;Can i terminate it.&lt;BR /&gt;2- How can i load "top" utlity on the above server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks and Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Roger</description>

Uh, download the source kit and build it?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.unixtop.org/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.unixtop.org/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.unixtop.org/download/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.unixtop.org/download/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My Tru64 system is down at the moment, so I&lt;BR /&gt;can't immediately say which versions I've&lt;BR /&gt;been using.</description>

      <description>smsd is used by 'sms' (SysMan Station) gui application. Feel free to stop it!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can very well load 'top' on any server!</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I could downaload top from the following links :&lt;BR /&gt;   &lt;A href="http://www.unixtop.org/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.unixtop.org/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.unixtop.org/download/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.unixtop.org/download/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and i installed the bundle on the server but i could not run top. &lt;BR /&gt;NB : the file is top.c&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Roger&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>There may be a README or similar file along with the src file. Read and compile the program code to generate the binary file. Once that is done, you can run the 'top' binary.</description>
