    <description>If you don't use RIP, stop or disable the service. You can disable the routed service and configure the gated service to don't listen RIP. See man routed, man gated.</description>

      <description>In  Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.1 (Rev. 732)  when we scan it with nessus scan it is giving security alert saying to upgrade the RIP to RIP2 I do want to know why Rip is used and how to update to RIP2</description>
