      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am using V5.1 1885 alpha server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Facing problem with ps command, whenever trying to run ps with '-e' option it hangs and sometimes it takes long time to respond, rest all options working fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any idea?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers...&lt;BR /&gt;Satish.</description>

      <description>Hi Satish,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm not aware of anything which would account for this behavior under v5.1A (1885)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- Did this just start, possibly after a change, or has the system always done this?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- How many processes are on the system?&lt;BR /&gt;  "ps -e | wc -l" how many?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- How is the performance of "ps aux", BSD syntax ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- Does it start to display some processes then pause at a process, then continue?&lt;BR /&gt;  If yes, is it always the same process it pauses at.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If your not at the current patch level, Patch Kit 5, I'd suggest updating.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Dave Bechtold&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
