Here are some notes on the NTP and SSL patches, with links to the related HP documentation:

http://labs.hoffmanlabs.com/node/1522

(Why this information isn't available within the patch, I don't know. But then this patch has been an oddity going back to its inception as a backup saveset and hand-copied files, too.)

Check with HP support directly and see if they have some release notes?

I have downloaded TCPIP patch DEC-AXPVMS-TCPIP_NTP_PAT-V0504-ECO7D-4.

When I unzip the kit there are no release notes. Where do I find them?

In the old days, when I had access to
patches, there was usually a ".txt" (or
".TXT") file next to the kit itself, and that
might contain some information.

If it's a PCSI kit, then:

HELP PRODUCT EXTRACT RELEASE_NOTES

Erik,

these TCPIP_NTP_PAT 'patches' are just a rollup of the NTP security patches (released MAY-2010 as backup savesets of individual .EXE files) in a PCSI-installable kit.

See HPSBOV02497 SSRT090245
http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docId=emr_na-c01961959

Volker.
