      <description>Well there are some fixes for SMTP, but they do not seem to look my problem&lt;BR /&gt;"The SMTP EXPN and VRFY commands are considered&lt;BR /&gt;a security hole"&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It's not clear from your description if the SMTP receiver dies straight away or if it runs for a while and then dies.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have you also checked that your SMTP configuration is not broken in some way?&amp;nbsp; See what TCPIP SHOW CONFIG MAIL tell you, and verify that it looks OK.&amp;nbsp; Also check the configuration file SYS$SYSROOT:[TCPIP$SMTP]TCPIP$SMTP.CONF.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are various options for debugging SMTP receiver issues; for starters, try&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;$&amp;nbsp; DEFINE/SYS/EXEC TCPIP$SMTP_RECV_TRACE 1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;which will turn on some logging in the TCPIP$SMTP_RECV_RUN.LOG file.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have a look at the TCP/IP&amp;nbsp; Management Guide for more information about diagnosing problems with the SMTP receiver.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jeremy Begg&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jeremy Begg&lt;/P&gt;</description>
