ODS-2 to ODS-5 convert

Hi all, can some1 please guide me how to convert a disk with data to ODS-5 file structure. Iam using vms 7.3 and alpha server Ds15

The simple answer:

$ set volume /structure_level=5 <your_device_name_here>

This is a one way setting, you can't change your device from ODS-5 back to ODS-2. If you need to return, you'll need to restore the last ODS-2 backup created.

$ help set volume/structure

You might also consider upgrading to a supported version of OpenVMS. The migration to 7.3-2 brings you to a supported level with some performance enhancements.
