    <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;gt; i have the alphia server with openvms 7.2 ,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; tcpip show version&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;gt; If the service of the telnet start the server will do restart.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; As usual, showing actual commands with their actual output can be&lt;BR /&gt;more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Is this a new problem where the same command had been working, or is&lt;BR /&gt;this the first time you've tried to enable the Telnet service?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;As stated in hte previous reply, more information is required. &amp;nbsp;Also, you indicate that the server restarts. &amp;nbsp;Does the Alpha crash and restart or just TCPIP?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the system crashes, post the crash information. &amp;nbsp;This will tell what happened as well. &amp;nbsp;Once more information is posted, additional info may be requested.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dan&lt;/P&gt;</description>
