    <description>You could try bzip2:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://antinode.org/dec/sw/bzip2.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://antinode.org/dec/sw/bzip2.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will lose the RMS file attributes (if&lt;BR /&gt;you're starting on a VMS system), but if the&lt;BR /&gt;files are Stream_LF or fixed-512, this&lt;BR /&gt;probably wouldn't matter.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would not expect a very large improvement&lt;BR /&gt;in the compression, however.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did you say "-9" on the Zip command line?&lt;BR /&gt;That might also help (a little).</description>

      <description>If somebody coul;d help me how to send a big file (274Mb) by email on Yahoo which allows me to send only max 10Mb. Is it a software which split and compress iin the same time.. Could be a file compressed with winzip or winrar few times in a row? The file is actually a folder which contains my father's xray and ct scan pictures and a software (cdviewer) They should be sent by email to be read by a dfoctor in other country. Please help if would be possible.The doctor adress is on Yahoo so I can't send more than 10M of attachements.&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you for your time.</description>

      <description>More details : you specify the file and the doctors mail address, the docter gets an email with a link and does a download with "save as". Don't specify your mail address.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Zip in advance to speed things up.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Wim</description>

      <description>Thank you very much for your prompt answer. I still have a question. I zipped the file but all I could obtain it was a file of 113Mb. I compressed it with winrar. Could you tell me if it is other software wich could compress with a better rate to obtain a file under 100Mb, the limit for free upload on YouSendIt.&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you very much again.</description>
