I am attempting to print 3 pages from a PDF file that is very large (182pgs)but I do not see any printing options available to me other than printing the whole file. What to do?

L,

I suspect (from your other posting) that you are asking about a Windows system.

In that case, you need to use Adobe's Acrobat Reader (available from http://www.adobe.com ). Open the document, select PRINT from the menu. The PRINT function screen allows ranges of pages to be selected.

- Bob Gezelter, http://www.rlgsc.com

I have never printed pdf files from VMS. Is that possible? What are you using to print?

I have had PS files I have had to convert to PDF for viewability. I normally pull those to a windows machine and manage there.

I tend to use xpdf when working with PDF files directly on OpenVMS. There are various ports around on the OpenVMS Freeware, and elsewhere. Printing is kludgy, but it works.

There's a Java PDF viewer around too, but it's, um, rather resource-intensive.
